Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is a first-person shooter game developed by Sledgehammer Games (with High Moon Studios for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions) and published by Activision. The game was released in November 2014 and is available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. Advanced Warfare is the eleventh major installment in the Call of Duty series and brings a number of innovations to the popular genre.

The game is set in the future, in the year 2054, and depicts a world where private military corporations (PMCs) play a key role in global politics and warfare. Players take on the role of soldier Jack Mitchell, who joins one of the largest PMCs, the Atlas Corporation. During the campaign, players will encounter various technological advances such as exoskeletons, energy shields and futuristic weapons.

Exoskeletons represent a major innovation in Advanced Warfare that fundamentally affects gameplay. They give players better mobility, speed and strength, allowing for faster movement across the map, double jumps, gliding and many other action elements. This new feature increases the dynamics and pace of the game.

Multiplayer in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare also incorporates these innovations and offers various game modes such as Team Deathmatch, Domination, Search and Destroy and more. The game also includes an experience system for gaining and unlocking new weapons, perks and equipment to progressively improve the player's character.
