Shadow of the Tomb Raider is a third-person action-adventure game developed by Eidos-Montréal and Crystal Dynamics, with Square Enix taking over the publishing. The game was released in September 2018 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC and is the final installment of a trilogy that began with "Tomb Raider" in 2013 and continued with "Rise of the Tomb Raider".

In Shadow of the Tomb Raider, players once again take on the role of Lara Croft on her most dangerous expedition yet, where she tries to save the world from the apocalypse predicted by Maya. The game is set in richly detailed locations in Latin America, including the jungles of Peru and the lost city of Paititi, which serves as a central point for exploration and adventure. The game places a greater emphasis on exploration and survival in a hostile environment, while Lara must face not only a group of paramilitaries known as the Trinity, but also the wildlife and deadly traps of hidden tombs.
