NHL 13 is an ice hockey sports game developed by EA Sports and published by Electronic Arts. The game was released in 2012 for the Xbox 360 platform, as well as for the PlayStation 3. NHL 13 is the 22nd installment in the popular NHL ice hockey franchise.

NHL 13 introduces many new improvements and innovations over previous installments in the series. One of the main innovations is the improved gameplay and hockey rink physics, which is based on the real laws of physics. This new "True Performance Skating" technology allows players to move more fluidly on the ice, have more control over their players and interact realistically with other players and the puck.

NHL 13 also includes a new GM Connected mode that allows players to create or join online hockey leagues and compete with up to 30 other players from around the world. In this mode, players can create their own team, manage finances, trade players and plan strategy for games.

The game also features an enhanced AI (artificial intelligence) system that allows players a higher level of tactical planning and better decision making on the ice. This system was designed to give players a realistic ice hockey experience and to resemble real NHL games.

NHL 13 on Xbox 360 offers a wide range of modes, including classic season mode, playoff mode, tournament mode and practice mode. Players can also create their own hockey player and follow their career in "Be a Pro" mode.
