Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is a third-person action-adventure game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and released in 2013. The game combines elements of open world, naval battles and historical narrative. This installment of the series takes players back to the era of piracy and is set in the 18th century Caribbean. Story

The player takes on the role of Edward Kenway, a charismatic pirate and assassin who becomes embroiled in a conflict between the Assassins and the Templars. Edward's quest for wealth and freedom takes him to key moments in the golden age of piracy. Along the way he meets historical figures such as Blackbeard, Charles Vane and Mary Read.
