Microsoft Xbox 360 comes with a sleeker new design and a host of new features and improvements. The biggest change that catches the eye at first glance is the design of the console itself. The chassis has seen some beautification consisting of more compact dimensions and a very sleek finish. The new model is visibly smaller and slimmer in an attractive black and gloss design with chrome details.

In terms of hardware, no major changes were needed to the high-end tri-core processor, fast operating memory, multi-format optical drive and graphics card from ATI, the world's leading graphics chip company. All of these components ensure support for the latest games.However, the development engineers were careful about power consumption. This is considerably lower here than it was in all previous models, which brings with it a very pleasing reduction in noise.

The internal hard disk has undergone two changes, it now has a capacity of 250 GB and is removable. Radical improvements have also been made to the connectivity of the console. While the Ethernet interface remains, it has been joined by a built-in 802.11n Wi-Fi module, which will make it much easier to access all available online content. Even the connector lineup hasn't been shortchanged in the upgrade. The number of USB ports has been expanded from the original 3 to 5, and a brand new S/PDIF digital optical audio output has appeared on the back of the console to enhance sound effects. The output to the display equipment is provided by HDMI.

The new Xbox 360 adds a headset and wireless controller with a signal range of up to 9.1 metres and 30 hours of battery life on two AA batteries. Microsoft Kinect support has also been added, which can replace all controllers thanks to built-in sensors that evaluate your movement and voice.

The dimensions of the console are 270 x 75 x 264mm and the weight is 2.9kg.
