On The Road - The Truck Simulator for PlayStation 5 is a truck driving simulator that offers players a realistic truck driving experience. Released in 2021 by AEROSOFT GMBH, the game focuses on the detailed aspects of professional truck driving. Players have more than 6,500 km of highways and country roads at their disposal, including many detailed highway intersections. The game provides a variety of vehicle types, including the MAN TGX and Scania R Series, and allows players to explore more than 15 German cities such as Hamburg, Bremen, Cologne, Hannover and Berlin, each with unique road designs and landmarks.

On The Road also features an economy system that allows players to start their own transport company and hire drivers to take more orders. Players must plan routes as efficiently as possible while adhering to mandatory rest times. Importantly, the game offers realistic vehicle behaviour thanks to the collaboration with MAN and Scania, including automatic transmissions, retarder/intarder and assistance systems. Different types of trucks and trailers are available, including gigaliners, allowing players to correctly choose the load volume for each order. The game features approximately 6,000 km of highways and 600 km of rural roads in 1:10 scale, including many detailed models of highway interchanges, towns and points of interest along roads and waterways, all based on real satellite data.
