Evergate is a unique 2D platformer in which players control a ghost named Ki on his journey through a picturesque and mysterious afterlife. The game offers extraordinary abilities through a mechanic called "Soulflame" that allows you to slow down time, aim and unleash the mysterious power hidden in every crystal you encounter. This mechanic also allows you to combine the energies of multiple crystals at once.

Players are tasked with uncovering the memories of the life Ki has left behind while moving across time and space. In addition, there is the challenge of collecting essence by completing quests in each level, which is then used to unlock ancient artifacts that enhance Ki's abilities.

The game boasts an oneiric visual style with gorgeous environments and hand-drawn illustrations that bring the world of Evergate to life. A magical soundtrack, recorded by a live orchestra and tailored to each environment, also adds to the atmosphere.

Evergate was developed by Stone Lantern Games, LLC and released by PQUBE LTD on July 2, 2021 for the PlayStation 5 platform, and the game also includes support for remote play.
