Fade to Silence is an action survival game with RPG elements developed by German studio Black Forest Games and published by THQ Nordic. The game was originally released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in April 2019.

Fade to Silence is set in a ruined, post-apocalyptic world infested with cold and constant snowstorms. Players take on the role of Ash, a man who wakes up in a remote landscape and must deal with a freezing environment, hunger, natural hazards, and mysterious monsters called Eclipse.

The game emphasizes survival and exploration, where players must scavenge for resources, build shelters and upgrade their equipment to survive the harsh conditions. Ash can also recruit other survivors he meets during his wanderings. These companions can help with various tasks and improve the chances of survival in a hostile world.

Fade to Silence on PS4 features dynamic weather and a day/night alternating system that adds another layer of challenge. Additionally, players must deal with the permadeath mechanic - when Ash dies, the player has a limited number of attempts to respawn before the game is ended and they have to start over.
