Tropico 5 is a design and management simulation developed by Haemimont Games and published by Kalypso Media. This game was released for PS4 in April 2015.

Players take on the role of "El Presidente", the dictator of a small island state called Tropico. Unlike previous games in the series, Tropico 5 spans multiple eras, from colonial times to the 21st century, allowing players to lead their island through multiple generations.

Players can build and manage their island's infrastructure, including dwellings, entertainment facilities, factories, farms, and more. There are also various political challenges to deal with, including negotiating with powers like the United States and the Soviet Union, dealing with uprisings and revolutions, and keeping the population happy.

Tropico 5 also features cooperative and competitive multiplayer, where up to four players can build their own cities on the same island, either working together or competing for resources and influence.
