Dying Light for PlayStation 4 is an open-world action survival horror game developed by Polish studio Techland and released in 2015. The game is set in the post-apocalyptic city of Harran, which is infested with a dangerous virus that turns people into bloodthirsty zombies. Players take on the role of Kyle Crane, an agent sent to the quarantine zone to find files related to the virus' evolution. "Dying Light" features a combination of urban exploration, resource gathering, weapon upgrades and fighting hordes of the undead, while players must also interact with different factions of survivors and complete quests.

One of the game's key features is the parkour system, which allows players to smoothly overcome obstacles in the urban environment by climbing on rooftops, jumping between buildings, and using vertical space to escape danger or attack enemies from an advantage. Another distinctive element is the day and night cycle, which dramatically changes the dynamics of the game. During the day, players can explore the city with relative peace and gather supplies, while at night the city becomes much more dangerous, with more aggressive and powerful enemies, forcing players to consider the risks of exploring after dark.
