PS4 Final Fantasy VII Remake (new)

Final Fantasy VII Remake is an action RPG published by Square Enix for PlayStation 4. It is a remake, or reworking, of the classic Japanese role-playing game (JRPG) Final Fantasy VII, which was originally released in 1997 for the PlayStation.

The game features all-new graphics, an improved combat system and a deeper dive into the original story and its world. Instead of the traditional turn-based combat system that was part of the original game, the remake offers a hybrid system that combines real-time action with tactical RPG elements.

The game's main protagonist is Cloud Strife, a former member of the elite SOLDIER combat unit now working as a mercenary who joins the rebels known as the AVALANCHE group. Their goal is to fight the Shinra Corporation, which is draining the planet of its life-giving energy called Mako.

Final Fantasy VII Remake also expands on the backstories and backgrounds of some of the side characters that were less explored in the original game, bringing new depth to an already rich world and story.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is not a complete reworking of the entire original game. Instead, the game focuses on the first part of the story, which takes place in an urban metropolis called Midgar. Other parts of the story are to be released as sequels in the future.
