UP for PlayStation 3 is inspired by the Pixar animated film of the same name, known in English as "Up in the Sky". This adventure game takes players into the world of Carl Fredricksen, an old man who decides to fulfil his lifelong dream and embark on an adventure to South America. His house, attached to thousands of colourful balloons, soars towards the unknown. Players take on the role of Carl and his unexpected young companion, a boy scout named Russell, as they explore the exotic landscapes together.

The game mechanics and gameplay are centered around the collaboration between Carl and Russell, with each character having unique abilities and skills that are key to solving various puzzles and overcoming obstacles throughout the game. Players can switch between characters to take advantage of their specific traits - Carl's life experience and Russell's youthful energy and scouting skills. In addition to the main story mode, the game also offers a variety of mini-games and challenges that expand the gameplay experience and add another dimension to the adventure based on the popular movie story.
