 Hitman: Absolution is an action stealth game developed by Danish studio IO Interactive and published by Square Enix. The game was released in November 2012 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows. Hitman: Absolution is the fifth installment in the popular Hitman series and continues the story of a hitman named Agent 47.

The game's story focuses on Agent 47 who is forced to betray his own organization, the International Contract Agency (ICA), when he is tasked with killing his former mentor while protecting a girl named Victoria who has a mysterious past. As the game progresses, Agent 47 tries to uncover the truth about Victoria and find out who is behind the attempt to take advantage of her.

Hitman: Absolution combines elements of stealth and action as players complete various tasks that require eliminating targets. The game offers a great deal of freedom in completing missions, allowing players to customize their approach and use a variety of methods such as poisoning, traps, disguises or direct confrontations. Stealth and sneaking are key elements of the gameplay, as players must escape enemy guards, gain access to secure areas and carry out assassinations without detection.

Hitman: Absolution also includes a mode called "Contracts" that allows players to create custom missions for other players online, based on existing levels and objectives. Players can set specific conditions such as how to eliminate, time limit and restrictions on weapons used, and then share their missions with the community.
