PS3 Doom 3 - BFG Edition

DOOM is undoubtedly one of the biggest legends on PC. It formed the basis of all 1st person 3D action and now it's coming to PC and console screens in its third sequel, in a stunning audiovisual treatment with a new story and the old familiar chainsaw.

The year is 2145 and you find yourself on Mars, home to the top secret UAC research lab. You, as an ordinary marine, are of course only supposed to oversee security. All indications are that it's going to be another boring day spent between test tubes, but you're wrong. However, a saboteur enters the base and damages very important equipment, and as a result of the malfunction, all the people in the vicinity turn into zombies, and the only hope is a specially trained marine, trained to fight in exceptional situations.

What awaits you in the game is obvious. You will wander through the hostile environment of the Martian base and complete various tasks, accessible in the handheld computer, where you will also find information about monsters and weapons. Among them, of course, you can't miss the famous chainsaw, the notorious shotgun, chain gun or rocket launcher. The enemies are also largely original. The atmosphere of the game will be rather horror and creepy, where you will move in cramped dark spaces full of shadows, eerie sounds and depressing music. The storyline is complemented by very frequent animations.

The engine is blessed with a realistic physics model that shows you the incredible behaviour of objects and enemies. The box you shoot will jump or tip over, you can shatter lights by shooting, and enemies will also behave differently depending on where you hit them. You can also shoot a lamp hanging from the ceiling to swing it around and see the beautiful play of lights and shadows created by the dynamic shadowing and ambient lighting. These effects will have an escalating effect on the horror atmosphere of the game.

The PS3 BFG Special Edition includes DOOM3 + the Resurrection of Evil add-on pack, the Lost Mission singleplayer mission and the previous DOOM + DOOM 2 games.
