Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel for PlayStation 3 is a first-person action shooter with RPG elements developed by 2K Australia and Gearbox Software and released in 2014. The game is set chronologically between the first and second installments of the Borderlands series and gives players a look at the events that led to the rise of Handsome Jack, one of the main antagonists of the series.

The game is set on the moon of Pandora, Elpis, and introduces a new gameplay element in the form of low gravity that affects movement and combat. Players have new weapon types at their disposal, including laser weapons and weapons that use cryogenic technology to freeze enemies. "Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel" features four new playable characters, each with unique abilities and ways to play, including Athena "The Gladiator," Wilhelm "The Enforcer," Nisha "The Lawbringer" and the CL4P-TP robot known as Claptrap.
