Kessen's first title on the PlayStation2. Kessen's fantastic scenes show the difference between the visual capabilities of the DVD and CD formats. This difference is between the quality of analogue television and HDTV.

The graphics are also amazing. In Triple Fire, three rows of shooters fire their guns. Not all of them do so at exactly the same time, and the combatants come back as far as the eye can see. The intelligent choreography makes the battle seem much more realistic. You actually see other soldiers fighting.

The pace of the battles is extremely slow, like most other Koei games. The difficulty, however, is not. Many times you get so many reinforcements that you just can't lose. Each individual event also includes a 20-second cutscene.
