Tony Hawk's Project 8 is a skateboarding sports video game developed by Neversoft and published by Activision. The game was released in November 2006 for various platforms, including PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox and Xbox 360. It is the eighth installment in the popular Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series.

The game is called Project 8 because the main plot revolves around Tony Hawk's project in which he is looking for eight of the best skateboarders to include in his new team. The player takes on the role of an unnamed skateboarder and his goal is to work his way up to the top eight, conquering various challenges, gaining sponsors and reputation.

The game features a large open world with no interruptions loading between different areas, allowing players to explore the environment and find different challenges, missions and mini-games. Tony Hawk's Project 8 also includes an improved trick system called "Nail the Trick", which allows players to switch to slow motion mode and control their character's foot movement using analog sticks.

The game's graphics and animations have been improved over previous installments in the series, allowing for a more detailed and realistic environment. The game also features a number of real-life professional skateboarders such as Tony Hawk, Bam Margera, Rodney Mullen and many more.
