Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 (THPS4) is the fourth installment of the popular skateboarding video game series, developed by Neversoft and released by Activision in October 2002. The game was available for various platforms including the PlayStation 2 (PS2). THPS4 features arcade-style gameplay in which players control professional skateboarders and perform various tasks and tricks in various skate parks and urban locations.

THPS4 brings several new features over its predecessors. One of the biggest changes is the introduction of "real time", in which players can freely explore the game environment without time constraints. Quests are now initiated by interacting with other characters in the environment instead of appearing in a list at the beginning of the level.

The game features 14 professional skateboarders including Tony Hawk, Bob Burnquist, Steve Caballero and Kareem Campbell. Players have the option to create their own character and customize their appearance and abilities. In addition, THPS4 features a variety of real and fictional locations such as Alcatraz, Kona Skate Park, London and San Francisco.

In multiplayer mode, players can compete against friends in a variety of game modes such as Graffiti, Trick Attack, Horse and more. Some of these modes can also be played online via the PlayStation 2 Network Adapter
