Wipeout Fusion is set in the year 2160 and follows the Anti-Gravity Racing League (AGRL) interstellar racing championship. Players take on the role of racers who compete in extremely fast, anti-gravity vehicles on futuristic tracks.
The game features a total of eight teams and anti-gravity racing boats that can be customized and upgraded throughout the game. Each ship has its own stats that affect speed, acceleration, durability and handling. Players must learn to properly control their boats to master turns, jumps and other elements of the courses.
Wipeout Fusion features a total of 45 tracks spread across 7 different environments that include cities, deserts, glaciers and mountain areas. During races, players collect weapons and upgrades that help them gain an advantage over their opponents. These weapons include rockets, missiles, mines, shields and more.
Wipeout Fusion offers several game modes, including career, single race, time race and multiplayer. In career mode, players progress through various events, races and challenges, earning points and unlocking new tracks and teams.
