Ultimate Mind Games is a collection of minigames that can be played either in story mode or on their own.

In story mode, the player takes on the role of a child with special abilities as their parents can move between the world of board games, Brun, and another that also have this ability. Upon returning to Brun one day, the player is met by their friend Mana, who tells them that the town is abandoned because they have been attacked. The entire country has been invaded by the Kingdom of Jejune and board games are banned! Mana takes the player to the Resistance headquarters and explains that because the player is so good, he must travel to every city on the world map, play games in every location, improve morale, and weaken the grip of the invaders. More money can be made by gambling or attending Sunday games at the coliseum.
