Robot Wars: Arenas Of Destruction for PS2 is an action game about remote-controlled mini robots and their battles in arenas based on the successful British TV show. Arenas Of Destruction is the first installment of the Robot Wars trilogy (followed by Advanced Destruction and Extreme Destruction). The aim of the game is to defeat your opponent and earn credits.

Robot Wars offers several game modes (Training, Championship, Freeplay and Multiplayer). At the beginning of the game, you get a certain amount of credits (2000) and your first robot, which you can sell or start a war with against other robots (Razer, Behemoth, Panic Attack or Matilda) and, if you win, you can gradually upgrade it (chassis, energy, shields or weapons). You can upgrade with new accessories or used, scrapped ones at the scrapyard for less. You can fight in different arenas (London, warehouse, elevator, military base in Russia, spiked arena or flamethrower arena). An important aspect of the whole game is the appropriate strategy chosen when buying additional upgrades.
