Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness is the sixth installment in the Tomb Raider series, developed by Core Design and published by Eidos Interactive. The game was released for PlayStation 2 (PS2), Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X in 2003. This installment introduces the heroine Lara Croft in new adventures and continues the tradition of action-adventure games with elements of mystery and logic challenges.

In the game's story, Lara is accused of murdering her former mentor, Werner von Croy. To clear herself, she must find the real killer and unravel a mystery that dates back to ancient Rome. The play is set in Paris and Prague, where Lara must explore dark alleys, sewers, cemeteries and abandoned buildings.

The Angel of Darkness brings several innovations to the series, such as the ability to play as the side character Kurt Trent, a new skill upgrade system, and interaction with other characters. Players can also control Lara while climbing walls, sneaking, or using new moves such as jumping over obstacles.
